The neighborhoods of this precinct are close-knit residential areas. Construction
began in the early 1950s on the southern part of the precinct and now has
a stable population that enjoy the neighborliness of the area. Most of this
precinct lies to the east of Merrill Field Airport and borders one of Anchorage's
major shopping mall areas. At the south central boundary is Nichols Park,
where the community plans to add landscaping and additional recreation opportunities.
On the eastern side of the precinct is Grandview Gardens.
 The southern boundary of the precinct is 16th Avenue, and on the west Airport Heights Drive. On the north the precinct is bounded by Penland Parkway and on the east the boundary is Bragaw Street.
